A "LOCAL" LIMITED TRANSMISSION WARRANTY AGREEMENT
REPAIR SHOP ABOVE IS WARRANTOR

Covering a time period of_________________ from date of issue, or a maximum of __________ miles, which ever occurs first.

A. Waranty Terms:

The transmission work described as _________________________ on work order No. _________ and not including any other materials or labor or any other components or parts of the vehicle, is warranted to the buyer against failure caused by defects in workmanship and materials by the warrantor named above; if later repair of parts and labor purchased is necessary within the time and mileage specified in the terms of this warranty, then it will be provided without charge to the buyer, within limits of this warranty and at the warrantor's shop.

This warranty covers parts, labor and the cost of replacing transmission fluid only. The warranty is only extended to the customer named. It does not cover such things as towing, loss of use, loss of earnings, personal injury damages, per diem expenses nor any other consequential or incidental damages. Warrantor's obligation under this warranty is limited to replacing or repairing defective parts and correcting defectively furnished labor.

The warrantor is responsible for the parts and labor purchased by the customer on the invoice that prompted the issuance of the warranty, and not for the subsequent failures of, or damage resulting from related parts or units as shown in the following: these items consisting of, but not limited to: a. levers; b. controls; c. linkage; d. radiator; e. coolers; f. rubber mounts; g. external oil lines; h. electrical accessories. The foregoing and other parts are not normally included in or with a transmission repair job. This warranty will not be valid if the car has been used for towing purposes unless a proper transmission cooler has been installed on the car; nor will it be valid if the transmission assembly has been tampered with outside a qualified repair shop; or if it has been improperly installed on the shop of the warrantor; or if the factory approved fluid has not been used in the assembly; or if it has been abused of damaged in and accident.

Warrantor reserves the right to refund full purchase price of goods and services purchased herein, in lieu of any claims under this warranty.

All implied warranties are limited to the terms of the written warranty. Consequential or incidental damages are not covered by this warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or exclusions or limitation of incidental or consequential damages; so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which can vary from state to state.

Customer Notice: It is necessary that you have the operation of this transmission checked within 15 days after installation in order to keep this warranty in force. Customer signature acknowledges receipt of vehicle in good order.

A. Waranty Terms:

The work performed can many times fail due to no fault of the warrantor. Parts related to, but not a part of the transmission, can go bad after the transmission job is completed, and adversely affect the transmission, converter or seals. Under these circumstances, your warranty is not valid. In no way can the warrantor predict these events and, therefore, is not responsible for them.
Standard transmission warranty will be limited to parts replaced only and will exclude broken gears due to abuse.
Clutch assembly warranty valid only if flywheel was resurfaced or machined when parts were installed.
Clutch assembly cannot be warranted if motor or transmission oils/lubricants oil soak or damage the clutch.
Front wheel drive vehicles have a transaxle assembly that shares a common case with the transmission. They are considered a separate component, and unless transaxle repairs were actually done with the original repair, they are not covered under this warranty.
Electrical and computer components are not coverd unless specifically worked on during original repair. These items can adversely effect the operation.

B. Proper Maintenance - Instructions To Customer.

Have transmission checked within 15 days from date of delivery for oil levels, leaks and shift pattern. The warrantor shop will do this without charge.
Check fluid level in transmission every time you check motor oil, for first 60 days.
Change fluid, clean pan, replace filter in accordance with vehicle manufacturing recommendations as listed in your owner's manual.
Save your receipts and invoices to prove proper maintenance.

C. How To Obtain Service - Instructions.

Always take your car back to the original warrantor whenever possible. This must be done at your own expense; the warrantor shop is not responsible for towing, shipping or any other expense that might be incurred in transporting the car to the warrantor shop.
If you experience transmission trouble away from home, call the warrantor's shop.

D. Implied Warranty

The warranty terms herein apply to both written and implied warranties.
